Skaftafell
A national park that pays for its own upkeep.
A developing national park in South Iceland used Parka to fund infrastructure and conservation from parking revenue, with no public budget, now serving 300,000 guests a year.

Skaftafell is a developing public national park with a limited infrastructure budget. A high load of self driving tourists put real pressure on the site, and the park needed a way to fund development and protection without public money.
Skaftafell deployed Parka's automated parking solution to fund the venture from visitor revenue. It has run for 6 years and now serves 300,000 guests a year, with parking income covering infrastructure maintenance and ongoing preservation work.
“Revenue covers infrastructure maintenance and ongoing preservation, with no public money.”
