Húsavík, made famous by whale watching and the Eurovision film, used Parka's ANPR to manage limited harbour parking from May to September, giving the council control, data and income.
North Iceland
Húsavík in North Iceland gained huge popularity from whale watching and Will Ferrell's Eurovision movie. The harbour area is very busy and parking is limited, and the local council wanted control over how the space was used.
Parka introduced access control by automatic number plate recognition from May to September. Short stay visitors now get short stay parking, and the council gets control of the space, live data on how it is used, and a new income stream.
